Just twelve weeks old, and I had had him for just a day when this photo was taken, he's more than sweet here he's adorable.

Now fully grown and thinking the bed belongs to him as you can see, still sweet but at times you could chew him up and spit him out.

Read My Lips II

This is my second Read My Lips cross stitch (the first is here), it's taken me all the spare time between helping my mum this week.

In other words it's kept me busy when I would otherwise be bored. I don't think I have ever worn my glasses for such long periods whilst indoors.

News on my mum is she has a slight infection, I've continued to do her dressings in the absence of the District Nurse who had discharged her, the hospital have put her on antibiotics.

Mum had 3 nodes out of 24 that were removed that showed changes, whilst 4 nodes is the danger limit they are still going to treat her with both chemo and radio therapy as her cancer was grade 3 ... If anyone else is wondering quite what all that means join the club, they didn't seem to want to tell me which way the grades went and which was the worst, deduction points to a grade 3 being pretty bad.

As for myself, they say mum is over 50 and they doubt therefore that it's genetic also that a family history needs to be done, they expect I will be advised to be breast aware. In other words I have to check myself and be more aware of the cancer risk. The great British cancer care system strikes again.

Black Shuck the Movie

Last month I posted a story about the Devil Dog Black Shuck, a local legend in the area I grew up.

This weekend I came home to have mum read a story from the local newspaper, it would seem that Shuck may become a little better known as there is talk of making a film based on the legend.

Shuck the Movie has drummed up interest from both Working Title, the multi million pound studio that released hits such as Four Weddings and a Funeral, Bridget Jones, and more recently Hot Fuzz, and Handmade Films, behind Withnail and I and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

It's not certain yet if the studios will take it on but they are showing interest, at the moment the film is £50,000 shy of it's £180,000 target. The story will be based on the original Blythburgh story based in 1577.

My blogs rating, if it was a film

I saw this whilst visiting Saturday Photo Hunt blogs on Jenny's Slice of my Life, thought I'd have a look and see what my blog would be rated as, in real life I swear loads and here I'm very careful.

I think in reality my blog should be rated as G, yet it's not ...

Online Dating

This rating was determined based on the presence of the following words:
* pain (4x) * breast (2x) * suicide (1x) now add 1 to each of those as I've just posted this.

I find it unfair that these words increase the rating the words are all in relation to relevant stories and contain nothing visual or detrimental to children.

Quick update

Very short post this one.

The surgery went as well as can be expected and mum is due to be discharged tomorrow, although the nurse said mum still has two drains in her at the moment.

Mum says she feels like ****, and to be honest she doesn't sound very good, nor does she sound as positive as she says she is.

I'm going to travel to hers on Thursday morning so posts may be disrupted.

Transference

When reading this post some may say I'm crazy but this has been something that I have done for as long as I can remember.

I can hear my mum in my head, when she's talking about me I can call her and ask her who it is she's talking to, I can answer her before she verbally asks the question and recently I have felt her pain.

For those who visit frequently you may remember that I posted a while ago that she had be diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer, today she is in surgery having a mastectomy.

Since before she told me about the lump I was feeling pain in the same breast that I took to be period pa
