Confused

It would seem that EU legislators reviewing animal experimentation laws, and all the animal rights groups are uniting to push to ban 'non-human' primate testing, there's a woman in Austria going through the courts at the moment attempting to legal guardian of a chimpanzee (see previous post).

Okay if you're going to win something, then going after one thing is better than loosing everything by going after everything in sight. It just seems wrong though.

Why save primates over any other animal when it comes to testing, adding 'non-human' almost as a prefix to the word primate doesn't make a monkey any less animal or any better than all the other animals that are tested on does it?

Technorati Trail

Add to Technorati Favorites

Eastcoastlife, has this on her blog and I found that she had also added me to her favourites on Technorati so I thought what the hell, lets post it here as well.

Most of us are listed all over the place on blog directories, we're all on Technorati and we all surf the blogosphere, and lists are good according to different articles when it comes to blogs so here's yet another list on mine.

If you add me leave a comment and I'll add you in return, just a little nudge it only take 136 (at time of publishing) people to favourite you to get on to the Technorati Top 100 Favorited Blogs.

***Start Copying Here:***

Here are the rules:
  • Write a short introduction paragraph about what how you found the list and include a link to the blog that referred you to the list.
  • COPY the Rules and ENTIRE list below and post it to your blog. To avoid duplicate content and increase the amount of keywords your site can accessible for, go ahead and change the title of the blog. Just don’t change the links of the blog.
  • Take “My New Faves” and move them into the “The Original Faves” list.
  • Add 5 Blogs that you’ve just added to your Technorati Favorites to the “My New Faves” section. Remember to also add the “Fave Me” link next to your new blogs (i.e. http://technorati.com/faves?sub=addfavbtn&add=http://www.yourfavesdomain.com)
  • Add Everyone on this list to your Technorati Favorites List by clicking on “Fave the Site.” Those who want good kharma will fave you back. If not, you will for sure get the benefits of faves from the bloggers who continue this list after you.

Mariners Score, North Lowestoft

Crown Score, lined with crabs, North Lowestoft

The Scores
History appears to suggest that these ancient thoroughfares known as scores have existed for many centuries. They are a series of narrow lanes created over the years by people wearing paths in the soft, sloping cliff as they travelled between the historic High Street and the Beach Village. The word score has many definitions but as far as Lowestoft’s scores are concerned various dictionaries offer the following:- A notch, cut, slash, furrow and indentation. Many of the scores were named after local people and in some instances public houses that often stood at the top of some scores. As buildings were demolished and local names were sometimes corrupted or circumstances changed so to did the names of the scores. Finally there are many other explanations that explain the reasons for the scores and their names but it would require considerable research to establish which theory is right.
