I've been asked how to change the title header, while I know this is explained on other blogs I thought seeing as I had been asked I'd post the answer here myself.
The following explains how to add an image in place of the header and stop the automatic blogger text from appearing. It will also allow guests to click on the image to take them to the home page of your blog.
If you are adding your own header I suggest you make it before you begin editing the HTML. The ideal width you're looking at is 600px wide on the original scribe background, you will need to upload your image to an online host somewhere.
1. Open Template and Edit HTML
2. Find the following section of HTML template <b:section class="header" id="header" maxwidgets="1" showaddelement="no">
This is the line of HTML that denotes the header area of your blog. Below this line is the widget text for the original blogger header.
3. Delete this line <b:widget id='Header1' locked='true' title='YOUR BLOG TITLE (Header)' type='Header'/>
4. Save your template. It will ask you to confirm the deletion of the Header1 widget, click okay.
5. Go to the 'page elements' section and click on any of the add page element links. You will see in the page element options that open that you can replace the original header at any time.
6. Create a new HTML/JavaScript element.
7. Add your new header image adding the appropriate urls in place of the text in green shown below and save.<a href="Your blogs url" title="Home"><img width="600" src="image url"/></a>
8. Now drag your newly saved HTML/JavaScript element to the header position on the 'Add and Arrange Page Elements' page, you'll see the space highlight as you drag the new element into place. Check the preview to see it's all okay before you save.
