This is my second Read My Lips cross stitch (the first is here), it's taken me all the spare time between helping my mum this week.
In other words it's kept me busy when I would otherwise be bored. I don't think I have ever worn my glasses for such long periods whilst indoors.
News on my mum is she has a slight infection, I've continued to do her dressings in the absence of the District Nurse who had discharged her, the hospital have put her on antibiotics.
Mum had 3 nodes out of 24 that were removed that showed changes, whilst 4 nodes is the danger limit they are still going to treat her with both chemo and radio therapy as her cancer was grade 3 ... If anyone else is wondering quite what all that means join the club, they didn't seem to want to tell me which way the grades went and which was the worst, deduction points to a grade 3 being pretty bad.
As for myself, they say mum is over 50 and they doubt therefore that it's genetic also that a family history needs to be done, they expect I will be advised to be breast aware. In other words I have to check myself and be more aware of the cancer risk. The great British cancer care system strikes again.
